My “why”

I’ve always felt a little restless with the idea of one job. The tidy LinkedIn title, the elevator pitch at a dinner party. I tried it. Sort of. But my curiosity always got the better of me.

I’ve worked across editorial and copywriting, beauty and fashion PR, an acute NHS mental health ward, and with various organisations in the charity sector. The idea of following one fixed path always felt a bit outdated to me. Instead, I focused on expanding my skillset, saying yes to opportunities that offered lessons I couldn’t learn through a conventional career. It didn’t always make sense on paper, but I kept trusting the dots would eventually connect.

Spoiler: they didn’t. Not neatly, anyway.

But I kept coming back to one thing, a persistent intrigue with the mind-body connection. It felt like a path I was meant to follow. So I did: back to university for a master’s in psychology, then into podcasting, where I interviewed academics on everything from burnout to embodiment. The takeaway? Mental health isn’t just a head thing. It lives in our bodies too. Stress. Grief. Joy. It’s all there, written in the muscles, the gut, in how we breathe (or forget to).

Losing my mum when I was 13 taught me that. Not in a dramatic, life-lesson-y kind of way, more like a quiet truth that unfolded slowly. Growing up around illness rewires you. It makes health feel precious, fragile, and sometimes hard to trust. Being coeliac added another layer: when your body betrays you in small, everyday ways, you either learn to listen, or get forced to.

And that’s really what I’ve built my work around: connection, to ourselves, to our bodies, to the work we do and the way we do it. I trained (and never stopped training) in various bodywork therapies, carefully selecting modalities that don’t just sound good, they feel good. Each one chosen for its ability to support nervous system regulation. Now I offer treatments designed to bring people back to calm. Back to themselves. If you’re curious, you can book a treatment

I also support organisations in the mental health and wellness space through consultancy work - often during periods of growth - where the mission is strong but things behind the scenes need more structure. My approach is grounded in how people work best, as individuals and in teams, and how to build systems, clarity, and momentum without losing the heart of the work. You can leran more
